We have endeavored to put on an exciting conference over a 3-day period (8-10 December 2026, Tuesday – Thursday). Conference events include:

  • Taxon-specific bird groups (e.g. Alaska Shorebird Group, Boreal Partners in Flight Group, ABOG, Raptor Group, Loon Group), will meet the day before the conference, on Monday. These meetings will be organized independent of the Alaska Bird Conference. Contact leaders of these groups for more information.
  • Regular conference during the next three days will feature plenary speakers in the morning, followed by talks and discussions throughout the day. Beverages and snacks will be provided in the morning and afternoon.
  • Afternoon receptions (4 – 6 pm) are being planned for each day of the conference that will include activities for networking and focused discussions about the theme ‘Next Steps for Birds’, a poster session, and announcements for the best student poster and oral presentation, the Pete Isleib award, and the Tom Fondell Memorial Student Travel award(s).

Refund policy: Refunds are allowed up to 7 days before the event, except for Eventbrite’s fees which are non-refundable at any time.

Early Bird Registration closes on October 20th and General Registration closes on December 3rd. People wishing to register after December 3rd can register at the welcome table at the conference.
