We have endeavored to put on an exciting conference over a 4-day period (7-10 December 2026, Monday – Thursday). Conference events include:
- Taxon-specific bird groups (e.g. Alaska Shorebird Group, Boreal Partners in Flight Group, ABOG, Raptor Group, Loon Group), will meet on Monday, December 7th. These meetings will be organized independent of the Alaska Bird Conference. Contact leaders of these groups for more information.
- Opening reception and ‘Spark Bird’ story-telling event on Monday, December 7th at 6:30 pm at the Marriott Anchorage.
- Regular conference during the next three days will feature plenary speakers in the morning, followed by 15-minute talks throughout the day. Beverages will be provided all day along with both morning and afternoon snacks. No breakfast or lunch provided.
- Early evening (4:00 to 6:00 pm) sessions are planned for each day (Tuesday through Thursday) for focused discussions about the theme of ‘Next Steps for Birds’, networking with partners and collaborators, and for awarding the best student poster and oral presentation, the Pete Isleib award, and the Tom Fondell Memorial Student Travel award(s).
- Casual dinner for all conference attendees on Thursday evening.

Refund policy: Refunds are allowed up to 7 days before the event, except for Eventbrite’s fees which are non-refundable at any time.
Early Bird Registration closes on October 20th and General Registration closes on December 3rd. People wishing to register after December 3rd can register at the welcome table at the conference.
